How to choose street motorcycle gloves
Compare palm reinforcement, knuckle protection, cuff security, finger mobility, ventilation, touchscreen compatibility and seasonal suitability. Review each product page for exact materials, sizing, protective components and certification information before ordering.
What street riding asks of a glove
Street gloves have to do three things at once: protect the hand, stay comfortable for a whole commute, and leave you enough feel to work the levers and switches without looking. That is why short-cuff designs dominate the category — they go on and off quickly at every stop, and they sit comfortably under a jacket sleeve.
Palm and knuckle protection
The palm takes the abrasion in a slide, so a reinforcement layer across the palm and heel of the hand is the single most useful feature. Hard or moulded knuckle protection covers the other common impact point. A retention strap at the wrist matters as much as either: it is what keeps the glove on your hand when it is being dragged.
One pair rarely covers a year
A glove that is comfortable in August is not the glove you want in February. Perforated or mesh-panelled gloves move air for summer; insulated and waterproof gloves keep your hands working in winter cold and rain. Most riders who ride year-round end up with two pairs rather than one compromise.
