Leather Racing Pants
Choose leather racing trousers or pants for sport riding, track days and coordinated two-piece setups. Race-oriented cuts support a tucked riding position and close connection with compatible jackets.
How to choose leather racing pants
Compare leather construction, knee and hip protection, stretch zones, ventilation, slider compatibility and jacket-to-trouser zip details. Review each product page for exact materials, sizing, protective components and certification information before ordering.
Why racing trousers are cut the way they are
Pre-curved knees, a higher back and a close fit through the thigh exist so the trousers fit a rider in a crouch and so the armour cannot wander. They feel wrong standing up, which is the point. Stretch panels behind the knee and at the waist give back the movement the cut takes away.
Zipping to a jacket
Racing trousers are half a two-piece system, and the connecting zip is the part worth checking. It needs to run most of the way around the waist, and it needs to match the jacket you intend to wear — zip lengths and tooth sizes are not universal. A short zip lets the jacket ride up and the trousers slide down in a slide.
Knee sliders and armour
Look for attachment pads at the knee for replaceable sliders, CE armour pockets at the knees and hips, and heavier leather at the knee, hip and outer thigh where a slide starts. Sliders are consumable by design: they wear down so the trousers do not.
