Why white and red endures

It is the one combination that works against almost any bike. Red is the traditional sporting colour across Italian and Japanese machinery alike, white gives the daylight contrast, and charcoal stops the two from fighting each other. Unlike a season-specific team livery, this arrangement does not date — it looked right forty years ago and it will look right in ten.

Racing red versus the reds around it

The red here is a true racing red rather than the deeper crimson used on the CrimsonArc R or the burgundy on the Burgundy Apex R. It is the brightest and most saturated of the three, which makes it the most visible and the least subtle. If you want red without the volume, look at the other two.

Fit and sizing

Eight sizes, EU 46 / US 36 through EU 60 / US 50. Fitted race cut, shaped for a rider leaning onto the bars, which is why it feels short at the front and long at the back standing up. Measure your chest over a single base layer and check against the size chart rather than ordering by shirt size.

Care

Wipe clean using a soft damp cloth. Air dry away from direct heat. Use a leather-care product suitable for the finish, and choose an uncoloured one — a tinted conditioner will bleed at the boundary between the white and red panels, and that line is impossible to clean back up.
