PolarCircuit R Leather Motorcycle Racing Jacket

The PolarCircuit R is the light-coloured jacket in the Zeesmoto® R range — a pearl white shell broken up by charcoal side panels and cobalt accent work. Pale leather is a deliberate choice rather than a cosmetic one: a white torso reads as a much larger shape to a driver pulling out of a junction than a black one does, which is the same reasoning behind white leathers in club racing paddocks.

Construction

Fit and sizing

Eight sizes, EU 46 / US 36 through EU 60 / US 50. This is a fitted race cut, not a street cut — it is shaped for a rider leaning forward onto the bars, which means it will feel short at the front and long at the back when you stand upright in front of a mirror. That is correct. Measure your chest at the fullest point over a single base layer and compare against the size chart rather than ordering by your shirt size. If you are between two sizes and intend to wear a back protector underneath, take the larger one.

Living with pale leather

White and light grey hides show marks that black hides simply absorb. Chain lube spots, boot scuffs on the inner forearm and dye transfer from a new pair of dark jeans all show up on this jacket in a way they would not on a black one. Wipe it down after a ride rather than at the end of the month, and keep a dedicated light-leather cleaner rather than a general conditioner, since some conditioners are pigmented and will yellow a pearl finish over time.

Care

Wipe clean using a soft damp cloth. Air dry away from direct heat. Use a leather-care product suitable for the garment finish. Store on a broad shouldered hanger — a wire hanger will deform the shoulder panel over a winter.
