Black and dark charcoal in a tonal camouflage. The NightCamo Tech R is the only patterned jacket in the Zeesmoto® R range, and the pattern is deliberately almost invisible — worked in two close shades so it reads as plain black at a distance and resolves into camouflage up close.

Tonal pattern, and why it works

Conventional camouflage is high-contrast and shouts. Tonal camouflage uses shades a step apart in value, so what you see from twenty metres is texture rather than pattern. It gives the jacket visual interest without committing you to a graphic you will be bored of in two seasons, and it photographs as a solid dark shape rather than a busy one. This is the middle ground between the plain StealthRidge R and a jacket with contrast panel work.

The practical trade-off

Like any predominantly black jacket, this is the hardest kind of garment for a driver to pick out against wet tarmac or in low light. The pattern does nothing for conspicuity — it is a styling decision, not a visibility one. If you ride in heavy traffic and want to be seen, the VoltTrack R or Iceflare R are built for that job.

Fit and sizing

Eight sizes, EU 46 / US 36 through EU 60 / US 50. Fitted, articulated race cut shaped for a forward riding position. Measure your chest over one base layer. Take the larger size on a boundary, especially if a back protector is going underneath.

Care

Wipe clean using a soft damp cloth. Air dry away from direct heat. Condition it regularly: as black leather dries out it greys, and on a tonal pattern that flattens the two shades towards each other until the camouflage stops reading at all.
